Innovation, creativity and technology in primary schools

John Lewis wanted an education programme that reflected its role as a champion of innovation and craftsmanship. This exciting brief led to the creation of Bringing Skills to Life, a programme that inspires children to develop practical skills and become creative thinkers.

Managing everything from creating education resources and media buying to coordinating competitions, digital development and video production, the programme has seen real cut through internally and externally.

Since its introduction, Bringing Skills to Life has directly correlated to a 240% increase in Partner engagement with schools. It’s also resonated with teachers and the wider community. Over 12,000 children have engaged with the programme and over 5,000 parents and teachers have downloaded over 50,000 interactive Bringing Skills to Life resources so far.

The schools programme has been integrated into the John Lewis & Partners marketing campaigns, including the annual Christmas advertising campaign.

We're passionate about continuing to turn the creative minds of today into the world-renowned makers and innovators of tomorrow.

"I have been working with Hopscotch for five years and it has been, and remains, an absolute pleasure. Our Bringing Skills to Life programme is a collaboration between us and them. They utilise all their own knowledge, combined with that of educational experts, to deliver content that is engaging, current, on brand and above all curriculum linked. They are creative and innovative with their thinking, which is reflected in changes to the programme that we are currently making. I highly recommend Hopscotch as an agency."
