M&S has long been a leader in the field of work experience. Given the surge over the past decade in competitors using work experience as a channel for securing future talent, it’s now more challenging than ever for companies to break through in this space.
We went back to basics with a qualitative research programme to establish what teachers, employees and young people are looking for. This led to the creation of a new bespoke approach to work experience, focused on fostering skills and natural talents. The piloting of new turbo-charged work experience toolkits has helped re-invigorate M&S’s programme and generate genuine excitement about M&S as an employer of choice for top future talent.
