Creative and communications campaign

 

Teachers in mainstream schools are often daunted by the prospect of teaching young people with autism. That’s why we developed a brand-new teacher-focused campaign for The National Autistic Society, which explores the day-to-day challenges of the school environment through the eyes of young people with autism. 

With increasing numbers of young people with autism being educated in mainstream schools, teachers were crying out for additional help and MyWorld answered this need.

We created a positive, upbeat and empowering look and feel, designed to celebrate the difference and diversity of children with autism. And the campaign brought a fresh perspective to a wide range of issues, from exam pressure through to bullying and transition stresses.

In just three months, over 6,000 teachers had signed up with an email engagement rate of four times the industry average. Today over 12,000 teachers are signed up to MyWorld, ensuring that more young people with autism are better understood and supported in schools than ever before.
