Unlocking more opportunities for girls to get active

For lots of girls, school is one of the only places to get and stay active, which means when school’s out, so is exercise. This disproportionately affects girls from less affluent families, who are less likely to be active.

So, in partnership with Nuffield Health, we launched the Move together campaign: designed to inspire teen girls without access to sporting facilities to have fun, feel good and get moving over summer.

We started with content. Alongside a group of teen girls, we shot a series of videos and photos that captured the essence of fun, friendship, and fitness behind our Move together campaign – and then we worked on getting that content in front of the right people.

Through our multichannel marketing and implementation strategy, we made sure girls, their families and the influencers in their lives saw and were inspired by our creative. And then we reached out to local authorities, community groups, and local housing associations and charities to amplify our campaign.

Girls all over are now seeing the positive benefits, with early results showing that 11-16-year-olds feel positive and engaged by Move together sessions and parents reporting an improvement in the confidence and attitudes of their children.
